Changing from traditional occupation pension schemes to the current schemes is considered as being a problem based on two main reasons. Firstly, it has been noted that employers are contributing a smaller percentage towards occupational pensions as compared to in the past, and the employees are paying more, (Jackson, 2006). Besides, it is expected that people will be forced to work up to the age of 72, to be in a position of earning the same benefits as those who were in the traditional schemes.
